Not as simple to be bracketed,
but most matters can be bracketed,
even frustration, sadness, joy and delight.

Then why, how have these various matters been simplified?
Is this a problem of treatment? Fact? Or something beyond the reach of human?

Maybe, what Takashi Fukai’s hands have been groping were merely these “simple” things. Plain and simple, and that may be why it is somewhat difficult to redress the balance with sculpture - which certain hardness can be one value.

However, originally, these simply bracketed matters should not have been just simple stories. If these were indeed simple stories, it would be impossible to explain the reasons of ingrained blood, sweat and tears.

For this half century, Takashi Fukai has been tenaciously and intently carving these matters which could and could not be bracketed.

So - no lies here.

WORKS

symposium 1st-line

Pictorial record / review book composed by new works created by at least one “artist” per issue. The new works are created upon request from The Third Line of D, and are created on the premise of publishing the new work on this book.

No.19
Published Shinichiro Mitsudome's essay "The end of the century Vienna and pre-modernism Adolf Loos 1". Unlike modernism which denies the past, the essay reintroduces"pre-modernism" as the mind of squarely facing the past , and releases "pre-modernism" from the underestimation as merely a transition period to modernism. The essay is the first part of an introduction of the architect Adolf Loos who is one of the pre-modernists of the end of the century Vienna.
